#32 Background's Sunday: Your Weekly Moment is Here!

New article at Background Mag!

Hey there,

Happy Sunday!

The other day I was wondering… do clothes just cover us, or can they actually define us? Can a piece of fabric carry more than fashion and function?

We believe what we wear says as much about us as what we think, eat or do. And in times of fast food and fast fashion, there are still brands that truly live by what they claim is in their DNA.

Patagonia might be one of the clearest examples. Born in the ’70s from the needs of a climber in California, it’s unfair to describe Patagonia as just a clothing brand. It represents a philosophy — a way of connecting with each other and with nature.

That intersection between enjoying the outdoors and taking care of it is what we admire the most. Over the decades, Patagonia has become not only a global brand but also a blueprint for building culture, questioning norms, and putting the planet first.

That’s why we sat down with Gin Ando, from Patagonia’s media and public relations team. We talked about the power of storytelling, the responsibility behind the brand, and what it means to constantly challenge the way business is done.

Thank you, Gin, for sharing your insights and being part of this movement.
